WISTA International and the IMO have established this website as we are passionate about ensuring that speaker panels within the maritime sector have inclusive panels and keynote speakers. We know that inclusive panels act not just to give a diversity of thought but also to show that the maritime truly embraces diversity and inclusion.
The absence of women at public professional events is a problem and because speakers are usually male, audiences are given an exclusive perspective. The lack of diversity limits the quality of the conversation.
Too often, we hear that we cannot find a speaker, so this website has been established to make this an excuse no more.
Please sign up as a speaker and encourage others to do so as well.
We are looking for a range of speakers in specialism within their professional careers on diversity and inclusion.
If you cannot do a speaking engagement, please recommend someone else or send them to this site, don’t just say no.
The Maritime Speaker Bureau provides a free directory of international women speakers to talk on various industry topics, including legal, technical plus on ESG, equality, diversity and inclusion.
The directory is alphabetical, but it is easy to search by topic, locations they can speak at and by name.
Every day we will add more new speakers, many of whom are exclusive to us. New categories and topics are added all the time, reflecting new and current thinking as our sector involves.
The IMO or WISTA International has not vetted the speakers, so it is up to you to do your due diligence before engaging them. Visit our directory page now and find the speaker you have been looking for.
