A citizen of the World with almost 38 years (in November) in the shipping industry if I consider the moment I embarked as a cadet but 41 years (in October) in the shipping industry if I count the time, I began my nautical studies at ENIDH, the Portuguese Nautical School.
First and foremost, I am a Deck Officer. Next, I became an Experienced Lecturer, Researcher and Peer Reviewer in Maritime Economics and Logistics. In between, numerous functions and roles. I am the Founder and CEO of World of Shipping Portugal, an External Expert for the European Commission on maritime matters, a Conference Organiser, Technical Consultant, Guest Speaker, Member of Several Research Conferences on Maritime Research, Maritime Business Review Associate Editor, Journal of International Logistics Editorial Board Member, Universal Journal of Management Editorial Board Member, Frontiers in Future Transportation Review Editor, Journal of Shipping and Trade Guest Editor.

Apart from Shipping, I like Travelling, Sewing and Arts. All these elements bring me on the quest for creativity, always with the expectation of doing something extraordinary!
